Ayla Sjoberg

MA, LPC

I hear from adults, as well as kids and teens, that they worry that starting therapy means something is “wrong” with them. Parents often wonder if reaching out for help means that they haven’t done enough. These worries can make the first step toward therapy feel overwhelming. I strive to shift this perspective by showing that seeking therapy is not a sign of weakness, but a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow, heal and feel supported. My goal is to create a space where adults, children and teens feel safe, understood and encouraged to be themselves, while also helping parents of minor clients feel reassured that they don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

Clients report that after having a few sessions together they have clarity on their goals and direction in therapy. They also often share that within a few sessions they have learned tangible, helpful strategies and skills to utilize outside of sessions. I am intentional with our time in the therapy space to make sure you are feeling better and seeing real results from our work together.
